I feel like I've seen SO many crappy movies lately, including Iron Man. Which I was sooooooo excited to see! BOO! Anyways, I had to post and give "2 enthusiastic thumbs up" for the following.
Hocus Pocus- Can you believe I've never seen this movie? It was surprisingly funny! I really don't like Bette Midler, but she was so hilarious in this movie. They couldn't have cast better.
Labyrinth- Okay, I'd never seen this one either! I laughed WAY more than I thought I would. And Cameron really enjoyed it too. His favorite part was those red puppets that kept taking their heads off. He thought their song/dance was amusing.
Forbidden Kingdom- We'd been looking forward to this movie for a while now. It was nothing like I expected, it contained some of my biggest pet peeves about movies, the opening credits were a little bizarre (which yes, is a big deal to me). HOWEVER I absolutely loved this movie! I had goosebumps at the end (I know, I'm such a nerd) and it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning! Not many movies can do that for me.
I guess I should mention Made Of Honor. I did laugh quite a bit. But I'm so sick of everything being soooo crude! C'est la vie...
Oh, and a great big THANKS to Helen for letting me borrow #1 & #2. I have a feeling most of her movies are going to become my fav's!

OH. MY. GOSH.
Really? Reallllly??? You hadn't seen the Labyrinth.
*sigh*
Remember how I only have like 8 DVDs to my name? The Labyrinth was my FIRST. It's my all time favorite movie. EVER. I have all the lines memorized "I have fought my way here to the castle beYOND the Goblin City to...." well you get the idea. LOL
I'm glad you finally saw it!
Iron Man? Well, we took Jet and the girls to see it. It was probably a little graphic than I would have let him see had I known prior to going but he LOVED it. I thought it was ok.
Hocus Pocus is a Halloween favorite and the girls LOVE it.
Now that you've seen Labyrinth you should try Cocoon (sp?) Legend (Tom Cruise early years) & The Dark Crystal. Oldies but goodies IMHO!
For Cameron you should try The Last Unicorn. It's pretty old and kind of weird but my kids loved it.
For a "spooky" watch, try Lady in White.
I haven't seen Forbidden Kingdom...I'll have to look it up.
Blech Made of Honor...it's so cliche. I had no desire to see it - and believe it or not, I agree that too many movies are crude. Can't they be funny without all the other lame crap?
Just read YOUR comment...I'll call you later ;)
Never seen Labyrinth??? I think that's a sin!! haha! Ya that movie is a classic!
And Hocus Pocus (to me) is also so freakin' hilarious! I find Bette Midler quite funny...just her spunky personality! Especially in this movie!
Iron Man and Forbidden Kingdom I haven't seen yet! Nice recommendations!
Oh...and Made of Honor...never seen it! I hate when they can't come up with clever things to say in a movie, so they just sell it by being crude! Can't they just look at "You've got mail?" Good example of a CLEAN, cute, perfect love story!!!!
