I first saw this idea on Alphamom.com. (If you can't tell, that's a link back there!) We've made about 3 of these games so far. I've made one, and the kids have made 2! I thought it would be fun to do a St. Patrick's day version. I asked my mom (who's a teacher) to send me about 100 die cut shamrocks, and this is one of the activities we are using them for! You could always use squares of green paper instead of the shamrocks. You write activities on most of the shamrocks (we leave a few blank spaces!) You flip a coin and heads=2 spaces, tails=1 space. We usually use game pieces from another game, but this time we'll be using a green M&M or Mike & Ike. Here are a list of the silly things written on our shamrock game.
-Name 5 things that are green
-Make a pipe cleaner clover
-Name all the colors of the rainbow
-Hop 3 times (4 if you are feeling lucky!)
-Juggle some gold
-Eat your game piece and get a new one!
-(softly)Pinch the person to your left!
-Do an irish jig
-What would you do if you found a pot of gold?

Seriously that is so fun. How great of an activity would that be after a FHE lesson with asking a couple of questions about what you learned in the lesson as well as some fun silly things.
I love love this idea so much!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! You have a great blog!
