A day at the zoo!

My mom's 5th grade class was going to the zoo, and I ask to tag along. Cameron was so excited to go to the zoo, especially with Grandma! He's been once before, but probably close to a year ago. He had much more fun this time, and was more aware of what was going on. We were there for 4 hours, and I was pretty pooped by the time we left. There were so many hills (and being 7 months pregnant, and ~18 pounds heavier) pushing the stroller all around really wore me out! At the front entrance of the zoo, there's a big black ball, that's kind of like a fountain. Cameron had more fun playing in that water than anything else! We were also able to take a short train ride around the zoo. It was Cameron's first time on any kind of train, and he liked it. (Meaning, he didn't cry: which is pretty equivalent to loving it!) The train took us on a bridge over a creek, through a dark tunnel, and past a buffalo. Here are some pictures (not the greatest, but pictures nonetheless) of our outing! Also, I included the newest of Cameron's drawings.

Luckily I had a change of clothes in the car, because he was soaked!

Taking a break from the fun to eat some chocolate. Yum!

Getting ready for the train ride to start.

This is a sun with a smiley face. The smiley face is a little hidden; this is Cameron's new favorite thing to draw these days!

It's party time!

Okay, not really. BUT I do want to throw myself a party because I am officially in my 3rd trimester! I really never thought this day would come. I am trying to stay busy and keep our calendar nice and full to help the time go by faster. We still need to switch Cameron and Alexis' room and paint them both, but who knows when we'll have time for that! I'm just happy to be this far along. My next milestone will be when my appointments go to bi-monthly (can't remember when that happens). Anyways, yahoo for me!

Cameron's language has taken off today. He actually pronounced dog and duck correctly for the first time ever! We were so proud. He can say a short prayer with VERY little help. It's so exciting to see his progress. As of a month ago, he has become very independent. With everything we do in the day (from getting dressed, to opening the door, to buckling seatbelts, washing hands, etc.) he has to 'try' or do it himself. He always says, 'No, try'. and proceeds to do it himself. He can get himself dressed most of the time. Sometimes he struggles with his shirt, but other than that, he does it all himself. Yet another reason I'm glad I have a 3 year difference in the kids. One more thing Cameron can do by himself! Anyways, here's some pictures of Cameron in his new pajamas. He thinks their pretty cool and was excited to show them off to the camera!

And here is a picture Cameron drew last week. After he showed it to me, I immediately knew what it was, but wanted him to tell me. He announced it was a mouse. I seriously don't know if he meant to draw a mouse? Or if he scribbled something and realized it looked like a mouse. Either way, we were pretty shocked! (Especially since neither Tyler or I have ANY artistic abilities whatsoever!)
