Psych!

If you happen to have ~43 minutes to spare, check this out!

Psych - She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not

I love Psych! I think it is such a funny, clever, sarcastic show. This is the newest episode opened on MSN (which is the only way I can watch it, being without cable and all) and it is MY FAVORITE to date. Anyways just had to share it. Oh, and Chelsea, I wished I could have been watching it with you. I know it would have made it even funnier!!!

Not yet

I'm busy with other stuff. Maybe someday I'll post Christmas pictures. But that day is definitely not today. I've started yet another blog. So far I have 6 that I contribute to. 6? Well, when
Shanna convinced me to start a blog, I didn't think I'd become one of these people! ;) My new blog address is http://jamyisadaringbaker.blogspot.com/ . It is my new food blog! I recently joined a group of baking bloggers, known as "Daring Bakers". The most recent count I heard was 1000 members. I'd explain it, but I just got done explaining it on my other blog. Wanna know more? Go check it out. Please, don't make me say it all again!

I'll leave everyone with 2 funny Cameron stories.

#1) Tyler was looking at Cameron. Cameron: "What are you looking at?" Tyler: 'I'm just looking at how handsome you are.' Cameron: "No you're not. You're looking at how cool & awesome I am..."

#2) Cameron asks me... "Do you know what my friend Cache's name is?" Not knowing how to respond to this, I say: 'No, I don't Cameron. What is it?' He throws up his hands with a look of bewilderment and monotonously says "It's Cache..."

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! Pictures and stories to come...

Would rather have shards of glass in my eye...

I just got off the phone with THE. MOST. ANNOYING. guy ever! I had to call and pay a bill over the phone. As much as I love Andy Bernard, he is a fictional character and I only have to see him for 30 minutes a week. ;) But if I had to deal with him, I'd probably want to strangle him. This guy I talked to was a mix between Andy Bernard, and that REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY annoying boy in school. This guy did it all. The repeating himself (like 3 times in a row), making weird noises and sound effects to fill in the small silences. Man, that really bugged me! Okay, so I'm a jerk. Sue me?

Does anybody own a spring form (one word?) pan that I might be able to borrow?! PLEASE PLEASE!

Mmmmm!

One of my favorite foods is? BRRRRRRRRRRRR (that's a drum-roll) Hot dogs! I love hot dogs. And I'm so excited that we're having them for dinner tonight! I have seriously spent SO much time in the kitchen these last 3 weeks, it's kinda pathetic! This is just some of what I've made in said time:

Crockpot Italian Beef (Sandwiches)

Cafe Rio Pork with Cilantro Rice

Marie Callenders Lemon Cream Cheese Pie

~400 truffles

Coconut Chicken Curry

Chicken Tikka Masala

Peanut Butter Cups

Pumpkin Roll

Potato Rolls (FIRST TIME EVER!!! WO-HOO FOR HOMEMADE ROLLS!)

Trifle bites (Can I just tell you my picture of this was WAY better?! Hahaha But my sister still hasn't sent it to me!)

Pumpkin Apple-spice muffins (Sooo good!)

Blitz Bread

Pumpkin pancakes with cinnamon syrup

Italian's Shepherds pie (Ahh... Good 'ol Rachael Ray!)

Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

(BTW, A great big THANKS to Shanna for tips with my food pictures!)

Okay, so who cares?! ME! These were ALL brand new recipes. I've been making something 'new' just about every day. I'm really proud of myself and have been happy with almost everything I made. Seriously, check out the links and if something looks good to you, MAKE IT because almost all of these tasted soooo yummy! My point is, I'm excited to eat something that (to me) is delicous and NO MESS! Thank heavens for hot dogs. ;)

Happy Birthday, Mr. President

Wow, this is ME. (In good ways, and in bad) Except the last paragraph, about the parenting style. Really, none of those fit. But the rest? Holy cow.

Oh, it's awkward. So very awkward...

Is anyone else absolutely hating this season of "The Office"? Grrrr! There's 'Michael Scott' awkward, and then the level that was just on the last episode. I'm so bugged about it! I love the show, but this season has been so off. How dare they all pretend to be Michael's friend like that. UGH! They (especially Jim) have always had more respect for him than that. Not to stoop to junior high crap to get their way. UGH! Okay, I know no one cares, but I had to get that out!!!

I'm in love...

WITH THIS!!!

Seriously, this stuff is amazing! I hate ironing. I've ALWAYS hated ironing. I know no one likes it (unless you're a sick, twisted freak) but I REALLY REALLY hate it. I'm TERRIBLE at it. I end up making MORE wrinkles than I started out with. And the people that tell me they never iron? I just don't understand. My laundry loads must be too big, because even if I pull the clothes out directly from the dryer, they're still not smooth enough for my liking. Now, I only iron pants (since they still look the very best if they're ironed) and... that's it! Just pants! I use this spray at least every other day. Tyler uses it all the time for his scrubs and t-shirts. I use it on the kids' clothes. My shirts. My skirts. Check out this demonstration. http://www.downyez.com/ I know the video is cheesy, but it shows you just how much time you can be saving. It is a bit pricey, but hey: time is money, right?

Thanksgiving

We got back last night from spending Thanksgiving with Tyler's family in Monticello. It was so nice to get out of the house and away from our worries, if only for a few days! It's kind of sad to be home again. The kids played with their cousins, and were excited to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa! Here's the pictures!!!

Oh, and those truffles? They were chocolate chip cookie dough truffles! They were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy (and FUN) to make, and so good! You can find the recipe HERE. What have I said before? I'm obsessed with her site! Sorry such a short post, but I'm exhausted. Just got home from grocery shopping and I'm gonna go hang out with the kids and watch a movie! haha

The joys of stress

I'm always fascinated with how stress manifests itself in people. For me, well, the list is pretty long. BUT I didn't realize how stressed I must be (subconsciously) until I developed a canker sore. A big one. A REALLY REALLY BIG ONE. It's at the bottom of my gums, right in the crease of my mouth and gums. Make sense? A few inches above my left jaw bone. It is about 1/2 inch long. And (according to the dentist) DEEP. So deep, in fact, that the pain is radiating into my jaw bone. And it hurts to even brush the skin over my jaw. Pathetic! Here's hoping this Thanksgiving trip is stress-free and I can lose my canker sore before it swallows me whole.

WOW!

I just got home from the premier of TWILIGHT! YES! My sweet friend Tammy scored us a couple of tickets and treated us to one great night! First we went to IHOP (since it was the only place open that late!) I felt bad: we only ended up ordering a drink at first, and then later had some fries. But the waitress was so nice and didn't make us feel like crap for sitting there 'wasting' her table. Hey, we tipped her good! It was funny because there were at least 2 other groups of fellow Twilighters eating too! One group had these shirts on that I FELL IN LOVE WITH! I've seen A LOT of Twilight shirts, and haven't like any of them. But these? I love how simple and classy they were. So I risked looking like an idiot (hey, it's nothing new, so why not?) and asked them if I could take a picture of their shirts! One girl in the group confessed to designing and making them. UGH! SO JELOUS!

Luckily our seats were reserved so we didn't have to worry about getting there way early to just get any seat! When we arrived, there were people dressed as Alice (she had a freakin' cardboard box-of-a-yellow-Porsche around her waist like a ghetto Halloween costume) and long hair. Boo! If you're gonna dress up, do it right! I know, I'm harsh. Whatever, I'm a Twilight purist. Someone else dressed as Victoria with leaves in her frizzy hair. That was kinda funny.

"So anyways, let's get down to the nitty gritty" (<--- Anyone?)

I really liked the movie. I was REALLY surprised I liked the movie. I REALLY liked Edward. I was even more surprised I didn't want to vomit the entire time because of him. He was smooth, sexy, classy, all the things he should be. The clothes? Eh, could've been better, but I was still too stunned that I wasn't boo-ing the movie. I was screaming like all the teenagers. Bella was amazing. I was very happy with her acting. There were parts I loved, and there were parts that were ridiculous. Many times, Tammy and I had to put our hands over our mouths to quiet our own laughter. And they weren't funny parts of the movie. The cinematography was terrible. I was so disappointed with their special effects. There were obviously a lot of things left out, and some random things that were added. Does Al Gore have a hold on this entire nation? There was a RIDICULOUS scene about going green and recycling. Recycling is great, but don't even get me started on all that environmentalism. GR! That ticked me off. Oh and Stephenie Meyers makes a small appearance in the movie. I mean, if I wrote a book that turned into a movie, you better believe I'm gonna be in it! But it was kinda random. That's about it for now. I am SOOOOOOO glad I got to see it opening night. It was fun to be part of something that I've really enjoyed. That book was what got me interested in reading. I always hated reading and since reading Twilight I have read 15 books. That doesn't sound like a lot, "but it was tough for me so BACK OFF!" (<--Anyone?). So even though I had tons of issues with Breaking Dawn, I will always appreciate Stephenie Meyer's ability to get this anti-reader excited about reading!

I realize that was a lot of random ramblings, but cut me some slack. It's 4:00 a.m.! WOO-HOO FOR TWILIGHT!

I'm inspired!

So, I've been really uninspired to blog since I've made it private. I hardly had any comments to begin with, and now it's just plain depressing! BUT I had to tell you about Melanie. I just discovered her blog today and I AM OBSESSED!!! I'm always looking for yummy recipes (that are my taste, and my hubby's too) and have scoured blogger for good recipe blogs. Oh my, I hit the jackpot today!!! I was seriously "Oh my gosh!"-ing every single one of these recipes. Some are, how shall I say, out of my league? If there are too many ingredients, I just don't even bother. BUT so many of them look fairly duplicatable. (<--BTW, that's not a word? Apparently not in blogger spell check!) And did I mention DELICIOUS looking? I just had to share this gem of a site with all of you. So check it out HERE!

P.S. I've gotta do a plug for both recipe blogs that I participate in. Come check us out at Good Stuff Maynard HERE and Keen Cuisine HERE. Happy cooking!

Blessings

I have a few RANDOM things that I was so grateful for today! First, Cameron is just the best big brother EVER! If I ask him to pick a movie for him and Alexis to watch, he'll ALWAYS pick something that she likes. He'll pick Word World because it has a puppy, and he knows she loves puppies. He'll run the cover up to her and say, 'See Alexis! Puppy!' Same goes with books. He'll pick the one with the duck because she loves ducks. Then he'll say, 'Where's the duck? What does a duck say? Good girl!' He's ALWAYS willing to share with her. What a great blessing!

Oh yes... My water softener! Hey, I warned you it was random. So when my in-laws were here last, they noticed our AWFUL looking drinking glasses. We ran out of salt for our water softener and they bought us enough for a whole year!!! Our glasses are beautiful and sparkly once again. The best part? I don't have to pre-wash everything. Normally I do. Habit, I guess. But my house has been a wreck for about 2 weeks, and this morning I threw in SPAGHETTI dishes from last night. I didn't even rinse them off. Just scraped off the big chunks of food. When I opened the dishwasher I was sure I'd have to re-wash them. Nope! They were all perfectly clean! THANK YOU MIKE & JULIE!

I'm so lucky that my sweet husband will eat whatever. He came home from work tonight and said, "So what's for dinner?" I had been attempting to clean, and do laundry, etc. all day. I said, 'Uh, I don't know. Want a tortilla with meat & cheese?' "Sure! Sounds great!" AND he's willing to eat left-overs. I know, I'm such a lucky gal!

And I couldn't help posting this. It's Cameron's very first sentence, written (and sounded out) all by himself. It says, "dad has a pet"! =)

Halloween

I've realized something. I must think my kids are the cutest on the planet because I take a LOT of pictures of them! And then I can't decide which ones to post because they're all so darn cute, so instead I post them all!!! Oh well. Here's a few Halloween pictures. My mom gave Cameron a 'lite brite' kit for a pumpkin. He had fun hammering the pegs into his pumpkin and it turned out pretty cute! The other pictures of Alexis are from last Sunday. I had just done her hair and it was still wet. I came in from the other room and Cameron had 'straightened it'. We laughed so hard. I'm sure you will too when you see how silly she looks. And finally, it was raining after church and Cameron was DYING to take his new umbrella out into the rain. What a cutie!

Cameron's song

On a much lighter note (thanks for letting me WHINE earlier), this is a song that Cameron made up on Sunday. He was changing his clothes in his room and started to make up this song. I wish I would have got my camera sooner, but I still got some good lyrics. Hahaha.. Anyways, below are the lyrics since it's kinda hard to hear and understand. Anyways, the noise in the background is me trying to contain my laughter. At one point I think I was slapping my thighs. Me and Tyler were laughing sooooooooooooo hard! (But quitely!) Oh, and I had to film the wall or else he wouldv'e had 'stage fright' and stopped singing!

...If I can be like Heavenly Father and Jesus. And I love everyone too. And my friends are dawson and nate and jack. And nate and, um, Jack are too far away. And they all love me too either I love Ethan. and all of his bru-tters. Brothers. And they all love me too. And they all love me too. And that's the end of... The end.

P.S. The quote was from 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding'. How did no one get that?! =)

"Ohhh... Woe to me"

First of all, if anyone can name this movie, you will have earned yourself cool points in my book. This has been a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad week. Now, I thought I'd throw myself a bit of a pity party here. Anyone wanna come? It might get a bit gross, though. This is all stuff that has happened to me this week. IN. ONE. WEEK. (probably not in order, though)

~my tooth is still hurting and I'm waiting for insurance to kick in to get a root canal
~bronchitis
~thought it might be pnemonia since I felt I was drowning in my mucas (and I've had bronchitis my whole life, and it was nothing like this)
~turns out to be just bronchitis
~fluid behind my ears, so naturally some loss of hearing and popping EVERY time I blow my nose
~burning with urination-possible bladder infection
~doc. says yes, bladder infection
~takes me 3 days to get my meds (since we're trying to share one car)
~within this time, my kidneys start hurting and I have a low-grade fever and ZERO energy (possible kidney infection)
~doc. says no kidney infection, but is concerned that I can feel my kidneys. runs blood work. blood work fine, and says my bladder infection has passed on it's own
~within 3 HOURS of being home, I'm sitting cross-legged and notice I have a lump on, well, the most sensitive area of a women's body? (are you with me?)
~the lump is tender. i watch it for 2 days
~go to the doc. because, well, lumps are NEVER a good thing
~doc. says he's not completely sure what it is, but it's not cancerous, and to put hot compresses on it and that should help
~put hot compresses on it (oooo, fun) and it gets MUCH MUCH WORSE!
~now it hurts to sit, lay down, move, not move, EVERYTHING! and it's a whole lot bigger
~on my way to Adam's funeral and get a flat tire
~on my way home, stop in and ask the instacare nurse what to do. says it sounds like it's abseessed and I'll need it lanced. (uhhhhh.... excuse me?)
~says the instacare doc. isn't always comfortable with that (it's saturday) and to just go to ER to have it done
~go to ER and the doc. and nurse are scratching their heads. They have no idea what it is. but they feel the need (of course) to push on it and poke it and move it around
~doc. goes to find the OB on call at the hospital since she has NO IDEA
~thinking it will have to be lanced, she orders morphine for me ahead-of-time
~i have a reaction to the morphine. my neck goes completely stiff, and I get the shakes that feel like post-labor
~they give me benadryl
~OB doc. says he thinks it's an extension of a yeast infection but to come back on tuesday (today) to check it out again
~(Monday) not sure if it's from the morphine or a stomach virus, but I have stomach pain/cramps and constipation, then diahrea
~go in for my sedated root canal (since I tried having this tooth worked on before and kept dry heaving- stupid gag reflex of mine!)
~Instead of just working on one tooth (to save money) i had to have THREE worked on because my bottom tooth started hurting just 2 days BEFORE! UGH!
~turns out I have to go BACK in in a week for my permanant crown (yeah, I keep calling the office to find out WHY it wasn't permanant to begin with)
~I have to go in today and have them file down all three fillings. They are overlapping my gums, and my gums are SO swollen. I can't even bite down, because my swollen gums hit each other first.
~And last and NOT least,,, I woke up with a sore throat. (and NO, I'm not over my bronchitis)

Okay, I think that's about it. I'm sure you're all done hearing me complain anyways, but there you have it. NEXT WEEK BETTER BE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Be honest...

I know you all took some of your kids' Halloween candy. What is your favorite? I was at a neighbors house chatting and she said her 'Airheads' were gone like THAT! (I snapped my fingers, by the way) I was shocked! Airheads? Puh-lease! What about the chocolate? I couldn't believe that kids were chosing chewy, slimy, gooey watermelon and other artificial flavors over CHOCOLATE! So now I'm curious. What's your favorite (halloween) candy? Oh, and I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

a picture is worth 1000 words

Instead of explaining all the stuff we've been up to, I thought I'd just show you!

This last picture is pretty random, I know. I was at Nordstroms with my MIL and this girl was in front of us in line. I had to hold back from laughing out loud when I saw this bag! I mean, could those zippers be any bigger?!

Sad news again

My dearest friend Amy, had a death in her family yesterday. Her brother, Adam, passed away. He had had a benign brain tumor for the past 9 years. It was too risky to operate on, so they just checked it every 6 months to make sure it wasn't getting any bigger. He had to deal with daily seizures, even on medication, because of the tumor. Last thursday, he had a terrible migraine. He went into the ER and it all went downhill from there. They found out that the tumor had grown (a LOT) and turned cancerous. He ended up going into a coma, having 2 strokes, emergency brain surgery, on full life support, etc. So after doing testing to see if there was any brain activity, they took him off life support. Anyways, I just felt I needed to post this. Adam was great. He was always so kind to me and fun to be around. Granted, Amy, I wasn't his sister. =) But being around her brothers always made me with I would have had older brothers. I just saw him last week and we were joking around and talking. I'm so sad for the family's loss, but I'm so relieved he doesn't have to deal with this anymore. He's at peace now. We'll miss you, Adam.

Picture Tag

I was tagged by Shanna. The game goes like this – go to your picture files, find the 4th folder and pick the 4th picture in it. Post the picture and tell a little about it.

I am holding my nephew, Ashton, at my mom's house. He was about 2 months old, I think. What's with my terrible posture?!

Now I tag

Ross
Andrea
Helen
Tiffany

And maybe tomorrow I'll post why in heaven's name I'm blogging at 2:27 a.m. Ugh...

Shiner

I went to pick Cameron up from pre-school yesterday and was greeted by his teacher, who looked a bit worried. She informed me that Cameron was punched in the face! She gauged my exprsesion very carefully, but was probably unprepared for my response. I started to laugh. Why? I don't know. He came running happily to me as soon as he saw me (before his teacher even told me of the incident. I knew he was fine. Maybe that's why I wasn't too concerned. She explained that Cameron and an autistic boy in his class were running for the same chair at snack time. The other boy decided that, come what may, he was sitting there! So he punched him in the eye! I guess it was commical because they're FOUR! And I can see hitting, or pushing, but punching in the eye? It just reminded me of something that would occur in junior high! I asked if Cameron cried and they said he did a tiny bit. I laughed again, and said, "Well, now you know why. Because we don't make a big deal when he gets hurt." Then I felt I should add, "And that's probably why he'll grow up dysfunctional!" They put ice on it, and you can hardly see the bruise under his eye. I tried taking a picture of his eye, and it doesn't even SHOW a bruise. So when we were walking home, I asked him, "What did it make you feel when he punched you?" 'Sad.' "Did it hurt?" 'Yeah. Reeealllly bad.' "When he punched you, did you punch him back?" 'Nooooooooooooo...' "And how did that make Heavenly Father feel?" 'Soooooooo happy!' I was glad he was mature (or stunned!) enough not to hit back. Never know what a day at preschool will bring!

Decisions, decisions...

Alexis cried herself back to sleep after about 40 minutes. AND STAYED ASLEEP! For only the 3rd time (EVER) she woke up playing and talking to herself, instead of crying. WOW! What a great way to start the day! Anyways, Cameron is at school, Alexis is napping, and my house is (almost) spotless!!! So, I considered doing Cameron's laundry for him (I make him do it all himself) and then remembered how I NEVER have ME time. So I've been reading "Harry Potter". I'm really starting to enjoy it! Especially when I can get through more than 1 paragraph before being interupted!

Haven't we already done this?

Phase 2 of letting Alexis cry herself to sleep. I mean, cry herself back to sleep. She goes to sleep fine. It's about 3 hrs. after she's asleep that she wakes up screaming. And when I say screaming? I'm not exaggerating. And I don't mean like a scream or two in between the crying. Blood curdling screams! And. She. Won't. STOP! This girl is the most persistant human I've ever encountered! I'm sure one day it will be a good quality to have, but for now it's just a pain in the BUTT! Anyways, she had her 15 mo. check up today and I explained to her doctor. She told me to still have her 'cry it out'. So here I am. And there she is. In her crib. Crying. Luckily not screaming this time. And it's been 30 minutes. And there's no sign of stopping.

UPDATE: As SOON as I published this, she starts with the screaming. Cursed? Sometimes you gotta wonder...

Here we go!

Cameron asks a lot of questions. I guess I'm the one that started it. Whenever we're reading a book, if we come to a word I think he might not know, I ask him. Then I explain what that word means. So we're reading the scriptures last night and this is how it goes. (Mosiah 11:2) "For behold, he did not keep the commandements of God, but he did walk after the desires of his own heart. And he had many wives and concubines-" Cameron: "What's concubines?" Insert laugh from me and Tyler here. Tyler: "Um...." Now this would have been a lot easier to explain had we had the 'sex' talk with him. But he hasn't asked so we haven't gone there. Me: "Um, it's girls that do naughty things." continued "...Yea, and they did commit whoredoms-" Cameron: "What's whoredoms?" Insert even bigger laugh here. Tyler: "It's those naughty things that those girls do" Thank heavens Cameron was happy with those answers! Let's have the basic sex talk before we delve into that. Hahahaha

So yesterday, Tyler said, "Remember that word Cameron used to say? Eepths? What did it mean?" We thought and thought and then reffered to our word document that explains Cameron's pronunciations for words and then what the word actually IS! (Big difference as you will soon see) So I looked it up and it was 'octopus'! So I thought I'd list all the words he said here. It was funny to read through them and think that our well speaking 4-yr. old used to say stuff like this.

Pronunciation: Actual word!

Knee Again
Heen Hungry
Bot Dropped
Doe-tee Donut
Mong Grandma
Mam Banana
Aps Animals
Dotcher Helicopter
Eepths Octopus
Eep Help
Beece Blanket
Thlo-thlo Window
Fawf Waffle
Sewou Cereal
Gakes Thanks
Wulh-kuh You’re Welcome
Wee-lope Ribbit (like a frog)
Backseat Basket

And then a bit later it became this:

TORet Turtle
Mells Smell
MYsoul Smile
CARE-see Scary
Opper-dotcher Helicopter
Foke Smoke (this one was scary! haha)
Baksee Basket
Fwippers Slippers
OrinGEES Oranges
BIRlees Birdies
Way puck Wake up
Pray-a-sent President
Go-er Girl
or
Goy-ler

So this post is just random, but when I saw 'Fawf' it made me think of the 'Waffle Dance' Cameron used to do. The other boy is a Parker, a boy I used to babysit. Anyways, this was shortly after Cameron's eye surgery so that's why his eye looks a little funny.

Bittersweet

Today was McKensie's funeral. I went to the viewing and just lost it! I don't know why I was such a wreck, but I was. So I gave Tiffany's mom, Pam, a big hug, and then got to see Tiffany. I miss her so much! I bawled and told her I was sorry for her loss. I explained that there was no way I would make it through the funeral in one piece, and as usual, she was understanding and told me it was fine if I left. I worried I would regret it later in the day, but I haven't. It was good that I left. I'm no good in those situations. REALLY not good. Anyways, it was FANTASTIC seeing Tiffany: even though it's a sad time, and I was bawling the whole time!

That's me. How's everyone else's weekend?!

How un-lady like

Alexis is so funny. She must take after me. No, not because I think I'M funny, but because I am un-lady like. I burp, toot, sneeze very loudly. I don't do it in restaurants, or at church, or any other respectable place. So what's the big deal then? I don't care. Anyways, Alexis does the same kind of things. She makes the funniest sounds and noises. She laughs whenever she toots or burps, and has a very un-lady like laugh. If you haven't had the privealge of hearing it, I'll record it sometime. Everyone should hear it at least once. But that's for another time. I thought today I'd record her 'growling'. Can you tell she has a brother? Mostly she does this while waving a sword at you. Yes, you read right. A sword. Or anything pointy like a sword (such as a drum stick). So watch and enjoy!

Can't stop laughing!!!

Tyler and I watched a movie that I CANNOT believe I've never seen before.

ONE CRAZY SUMMER!

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. And so often! Leave to a GREAT 80's movie to have us rolling on the floor and high-fiving each other (multiple times). Yeah, need I say it again? We're dorks.

Now, "Better off Dead" has been one of my favorites for many years now. But this was seriously just as good. My favorite part? It reminded me of all those SNL cliques that you see in different movies. Chris Farley & David Spade. Adam Sandler & Norm MacDonald (I LOVE YOU!). Phil Hartman & Mike Meyers. Steve Martin & Eddie Murphy. You get the picture. In "One crazy summer" it has "Ricky's mom" from "Better off dead", the old lady from "Police Academy", the nerd from "Better off dead", and much much more! Tyler's favorite actor in the show was, none other than, Bob Goldthwait. It didn't matter what came out of his mouth, Tyler would laugh so hard! I was going to put my favorite quotes on, but don't wanna ruin it for anyone who might see it. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind and just ruin it anyways.

God be with you till we meet again...

My dear friend Tiffany's daughter, McKensie died today.

"She faded silently in the night until her spirit finally left her body at 5:12 am. It was a peaceful experience for us all. She has eternally impacted our lives for good. We are so grateful to have had the pleasure of her company in this life. We look forward to a joyful reunion with her at some point in the future."

This was what was posted on their blog. (Click here to read her story) Their strength inspires me. McKensie battled with Leukemia for the past 6 months. I am so heartbroken for their loss, yet so happy she is free from pain and with our Father in Heaven once again. God bless you, dear friends.

A day in my life

So I got this forward from Amy about 2 years ago. I found it and thought it was too perfect not to post.

"Recently, I was diagnosed with C.A.A.D.D. - Child Activated
Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:
I decide to do the laundry. As I start toward the basement, I notice
that there are cheerios all over the floor and my house keys are in
the cereal bowl.

I decide to pick up the cheerios before I do the laundry. I lay my
keys down on the counter, put the cheerios in the trashcan under the
counter, and notice that the trashcan is full. So, I decide to take
out the trash.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take
out the trash I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check
book off the table, and see that there is only one check left, my
extra checks are in my desk in the office, so I go to my desk where
I find a sippy cup full of juice. I'm going to look for my checks,
but first I decide I should put the sippy cup in the refrigerator to
keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the sippy cup a plant on the
counter catches my eye--it needs to be watered. I set the sippy cup
on the counter, and I discover baby wipes that I've been searching
for all morning. I decide I better put them back in the bathroom,
but first I'm going to water the plants. I set the wipes back down,
fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote, left
on the kitchen table.

I realize that when I go to watch TV, I will be looking for the
remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I
decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll
water the plants. I splash some water on the plant, but most of it
spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down, get some paper
towels and wipe up the spill.

Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to
do.

At the end of the day: the laundry isn't washed, the bills aren't
paid, there is a warm cup of juice sitting on the counter, the
plants aren't watered, there is still only one check in my check
book, I can't find the remote, I can't find the wipes, and I don't
remember what I did with my keys. Then when I try to figure out why
nothing got done today. I'm really baffled because I know I was busy
all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help
for it, but first I'll check my e-mail. Don't laugh--if this isn't you yet, your day is coming."

Honorable mentions

I feel like I've seen SO many crappy movies lately, including Iron Man. Which I was sooooooo excited to see! BOO! Anyways, I had to post and give "2 enthusiastic thumbs up" for the following.

Hocus Pocus- Can you believe I've never seen this movie? It was surprisingly funny! I really don't like Bette Midler, but she was so hilarious in this movie. They couldn't have cast better.

Labyrinth- Okay, I'd never seen this one either! I laughed WAY more than I thought I would. And Cameron really enjoyed it too. His favorite part was those red puppets that kept taking their heads off. He thought their song/dance was amusing.

Forbidden Kingdom- We'd been looking forward to this movie for a while now. It was nothing like I expected, it contained some of my biggest pet peeves about movies, the opening credits were a little bizarre (which yes, is a big deal to me). HOWEVER I absolutely loved this movie! I had goosebumps at the end (I know, I'm such a nerd) and it was the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning! Not many movies can do that for me.

I guess I should mention Made Of Honor. I did laugh quite a bit. But I'm so sick of everything being soooo crude! C'est la vie...

Oh, and a great big THANKS to Helen for letting me borrow #1 & #2. I have a feeling most of her movies are going to become my fav's!

Help!

I need a new mop. I've broke the last two I've had in the past month! (Nevermind how I broke them...) I found two on Amazon (I LOVE AMAZON!) with great reviews. So check out the links and let me know which you think would work best on my BIG kitchen floor!

Deep Thoughts...

by Jack Handey.

If you're not familiar with Jack Handey (as if those people exist) just know that the quotes aren't supposed to make sense. They are usually just stupid, or mean, or both. But hey? That's SNL for you. Here's some of my fav's.

"How come the dove gets to be the peace symbol? How about the pillow? It has more feathers than the dove, and it doesn't have that dangerous beak."

“I can picture in my mind a world without war. A world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they’d never expect it.”

"Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess was why several of us died of tuberculosis."

“If you're in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw one of those small pumpkins. Maybe it'll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them.”

*“If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason.”

“When I found the skull in the woods, the first thing I did was call the police. But then I got curious about it. I picked it up, and started wondering who this person was, and why he had deer horns.”

“To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.”

(Hahaha, I'm laughing so hard right now! Oh and don't feel bad if you hate these. They're not for everybody)

“If you're a cowboy and you're dragging a guy behind your horse, I bet it would really make you mad if you looked back and the guy was reading a magazine.”

"As a young boy, when you get splashed by a mud puddle on the way to school, you wonder if you should go home and change, but be late for school, or go to school the way you are; dirty and soaking wet. Well, while he tried to decide, I drove by and splashed him again."

"If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture."

"If you saw two guys named Hambone and Flippy, which one would you think liked dolphins the most? I'd say Flippy, wouldn't you? You'd be wrong, though. It's Hambone."

"He was the kind of man who was not ashamed to show affection. I guess that's what I hated about him."

"I hope that someday we will be able to put away our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people."

Whew!

I've been trying to write this post for over a week now. What can I say? Life just gets busy. So when Tyler was gone hunting for a week, we had ourselves some fun! We really lucked out that there were so many things to do that week for CHEAP! 1st we went and got free ice cream, courtesty of Coldstone. After eating at IHOP (man, I hate that place). I thought we could all use a night out and my kids are so picky, I figured I couldn't go wrong with pancakes! Later that week we went to Cornbellys for only $1 a person! Thanks again, Nisha, for the heads up! We went with Tammy, Dawson, and Alyssa. We all had an amazing time. There was stuff for all ages, so even Alexis and Alyssa had fun! And if you don't believe how excited Cameron was? Just watch this video:

Then, as customers of Allstate, there was a customer appreciation day at Scera park. There were a few games, great food, the huge park that's right there, and tethered hot air balloon rides! We hardly went high at all and my knuckles were white I'm sure. I'm such a chicken. I feel so bad for Tyler sometimes! I must not be very fun. The first pictures are of Cameron being a cat. Yes, you read right. A cat. He got the idea from Dawson, who taught Cameron to be his pet! I personally love when CAmenro is a cat because it's suddenly very quiet around the house. Why, you ask? "Well, cats can't talk." "If you want a snack, say 'meow, meow'" Yeah, why does he have cereal on his face? "Oh, cats don't have hands to wipe off their faces, so they have to use their tongues to get the food off" Man, I'm so mean!

The last pictures are of Cameron and his bunny: Cameron. And Cameron #2 (the bunny) is also 4 yrs. old! This is the bunny he got from the sweetest nurse ever, when Cameron was taken to ER at 12:45 am about a month ago. He was having breathing problems (croup? who knows...) and I wasn't about to drive him myself! Anyways, after riding in an ambulance (I'm sure everyone's heard the story from Cameron) we waited in the ER for a few hours. The nurse fell in love with Cameron and brought him said bunny. He's never been so attached to anything in his life. Anyways, these pictures are Cameron teaching Cameron #2 to fold his arms during the prayer. I just love it!

Kids and honesty

Cameron was watching "Night at the Museum" for the first time. When Mickey Rooney came on screen for the first time, Cameron said, "That guy looks like a monkey!"

I can't remember...

What should I do with Alexis tomorrow while Cameron is at school? I'm so used to him entertaining her (for the most part). It's been so long since I've had any long stretch of time with a child this age. Even my own! I can't even remember how to play with them. Hmmmm. Any suggestions?

Oh yeah, and what kind of a mom am I- if I have to ask this kind of a question?!

That's not what I expected to happen

I made German pancakes this morning. Not my favorite, but could it be much easier? I put the butter in the baking dish and into the pre-heating oven to melt the butter. As usual. Problem was, the mix wasn't even ready and I got distracted. I started to smell something burning. Oh great, the butter... So I take out the dish with the scalding butter and dump it into the sink. "I don't want that burned taste on my panckes!" I think. So I turned on HOT WATER mind you to rinse it off. All while holding the dish in the hot pad. I hold the dish under the running water to quickly rinse it out. BOOOOOOOM! The 8X8 Pyrex dish litrally burst into TONS of big and tiny pieces alike inside my sink. WHAT THE CRAP?! It was such a shock I just stood there staring at it! Hmmmm. How on earth am I going to clean this up? So of course, I call my trusty source. Michelle Webb! I love Michelle. She just seems to have the answers to everything. "Uh, I have a random question! How do I clean up a sink full of shattered glass?!" So of course in her wisdom she says, 'Why don't you use the shop vac?' BRILLIANT! Why can I never think of the solution myself? Anyways, it worked WONDERS and I was able to place the hose down INTO the disposal to get all the pieces I would never be able to see or get to! I'm sooooo lucky that it shattered while in the sink and not all over me or the floor. The mess was very much contained. But WOW! Kinda crazy.

Pals

I love pictures of my kids together. It honestly doesn't happen very often because:

1) someone isn't paying attention
2) someone is wiggling too much that the pictures don't turn out
3) someone is crying

But even though these two aren't the best pictures, they are my new favorites! My kids play exceptionally well together. Sometimes I wonder, "How did I do it with just one kid?" Cameron entertains Alexis pretty well and she ADORES him! If I'm busy in the other room and she starts crying, I can just say, "Quick Cameron! Go do a silly dance for her!" And about 80% of the time, it works!

"Man, you are one pathetic loser!"

I thought of this quote (about myself) the second I walked through the door last night. I went to the grocery store after I put the kids to bed. When I left, I saw a HUGE spider on the lawnmower. Immediately I thought, "HOW am I going to get back in the house? I don't want to walk past that thing again!" If you haven't guessed it by now, I am deathly afraid of those 8-legged FREAKS! So when I got home, as soon as the garage door was opening, Mister spider decides he's awake and going to shimmy down his spider-web from the mower to a box. So of course I have to see him move. UGH! EW! BLEGH! I hate seeing them move. It's bad enough if they're still! So I called Tammy and said,
"What am I gonna do?"
'Spray it with bug spray' she tells me.

#1, I have to walk past the spider to GET to the bug spray. #2, I'm not brave enough to get that close to it. #3, I have to see it MOVE as it's writhing in pain on it's way to death. Uh-uh. So she says,
'Why don't you throw something at it so it'll move?'
"I don't want to see it move!"
'But then maybe it'll go and hide.'
"I don't want it to hide, because then I'm gonna worry all night that it crept into the house!"

I decide to drive around to the front and go in that way to unload the groceries. As I approach the front door, I realize I don't' have my house key! There goes that idea. So I'm back at the garage. I could just call Tyler, but he's sleeping since he has to wake up to go to work in 2 hrs. So I actually went to a neighbors house to see if their lights were on. They were. So I called said neighbor and asked if the husband would mind coming over and killing a spider for me. (It's about 9:30, BTW) He comes and kills the spider and I'm apologizing for calling so late and for something so stupid.
"I really appreciate it, I'm so afraid of spiders!"
'I know' he replies. 'Don't you remember I came and killed a spider for you a while back?'

Vague recollection. This must've been 3 years ago.

"Oh, well then I really feel like a loser for having you kill another one for me!" Oh well. Any other pathetic losers out there? No? Just me? Alright. I'll deal with it.

More Cameronisms

Cameron, I don’t want you to get older.
“Oh…”
Maybe you can just stay 4 forever.
“Why?”
Because I’m afraid when you get older you won’t like me anymore.
"Oh…”
(With a somber and worried look on his face) “I have to stay 4?”
No, sweetie. You don’t.
“So I can grow up?”
Yes. (just without my permission…)

Alexis was playing with my keys and trying to unlock the front door. I started laughing at her attempt. Cameron asked what I was laughing at and I told him Alexis was trying to unlock the door. He runs in saying, “I want to see!” By this time, she’s done trying that and instead chewing on the keys. Cameron said, “She’s trying to unlock herself!”

We were looking for rocks on the sidewalk to paint into pumpkins. Cameron saw some large landscaping rocks across the street. While pointing, he says, “Look at those huge, huge, huge, heaviest rocks I’ve never seen!"

Cameron was wrestling with Tyler, when Tyler pulled at his shorts to try and take him down. Cameron yelped and said, "Ah! Don't pull off my tushy!"

Anyways, here's the pumpkins we made! One of Cameron's reminds me of Jack on "Nightmare before Christmas". Hahaha. Not sure why!

Of course I had to make some, too!

Pay it Forward

So go check out The R Family Diaries! She's having a fun contest for an Epson Picture Mate Portable Photo Printer. Oooh, la la!

Visit her site for details. Good luck! (But I secretly hope I win! Muah-ah-ah)

Oh, that's why...

I haven't been that great at working out or eating super healthy in the past 2 months or so. But honestly, it's been kinda nice! So last night, on our way home from a MLM meeting, I asked Tyler to stop at McD's for some fries. I haven't had fries in... months? I used to have them at least once a week I think. So I was STARVING! I was starting to get 'the shakes' and was excited to get some food in my system! So we stop and I got a fish fillet meal. With the large fries. And the largest chocolate shake known to man. Which I then proceeded to scarf down in a very short period of time. It tasted SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! The fries were perfect! They were the perfect texture. Not too crispy, not too mushy. The right amount of salt. Everything! Of course, the immediate downside was the bad french fry aftertaste. The unappealing thick starchy taste in my mouth. Oh well, nothing a little (or a lot) of a chocolate shake can't remedy. So here I sit, at 4:00 a.m. wide awake. Why? Because I feel like CRAP! I'm bloated and feel like I can hardly breath. My stomach is upset and I have heartburn, and bathroom issues! (Don't worry, I won't include details.) Just a friendly reminder to myself that I must have been eating better than I though I was for this to upset my system this way. Fast food sucks!

Skinny Minnie

When will Alexis hit 20 pounds already? I think she's going to sit rear facing until she's 2! Maybe I should start feeding her lard for breakfast. Hmmmm....

Let us remember...

Cameron looked out the window today, and said, 'Mommy! There's a flag at our house!' A flag? What day was it? I realized, with sadness, that it was 9-11. How could I forget so easily a day that changed all of our lives? I came downstairs to YouTube to show Cameron the footage of the towers. I know he doesn't understand, but how can I treat this day like any other? I feel I need to teach him about what happened and why we remember this day each year. In looking for videos, I found this one. I am still not done watching it, and am not sure I can finish it right now. These are the most personal accounts I've heard so far. Instead of focusing on the heroes, as many news stations did, it actually shows the horrible truth. I think I needed to realize exactly what it was like for the people dying and jumping out of windows. If you're feeling up to it, I highly recommend this video. I will never think of 9-11 the same again.

Failed attempt

Well today is a day I've been dreading since Feb. 14th 2007. Since I found out I was pregnant with a girl. I had to 'do' Alexis' hair! It's FINALLY long enough to do something with. The question is, WHAT do I do with it! So here was my attempt at making her look more like a girl, and less like a 50-yr. old man. Hair wise, that is. I don't honestly think my daughter looks like a man)

So, at first I thought it looked ridiculous, and the more I look at her, I can't tell if it's cute or stupid looking. Again, might I remind you that I have no idea what I'm doing? So, some tips, please? Is it too high on her head? I'd put it back a bit, but she already has so many short hairs that don't go into the ponytail.

YAY!

I'm so excited: Tyler got a new job! No more crappy hours! (Well, only for another 2 weeks!) He will be starting a Rad Tech Assistant job in 3 weeks! He'll give his 2 weeks notice tomorrow night when he goes back into work. He'll work there for 2 weeks, (that last day being a Sunday) and that Tuesday he'll leave for the deer hunt. He gets to hunt until SUNDAY! I'm so excited he has the chance to go for a longer time without having to worry about missing work. He's all prepared to get a trophy buck and SWEARS he's not killing anything small until the last day! Hahaha... I'm hoping he gets something big, but at the same time I know he'll want it mounted if it's any bigger than the buck we already have hanging on our wall! Anyways, I'm so proud of him for sticking to his decision about Rad Tech and this will be such a great stepping stone in reaching this career goal. Now let's all cross our fingers that come March he gets accepted to the program!

On to other exciting news, I'm sure you've noticed the Widget. Thanks to Shanna, (and I do mean, LOTS AND LOTS OF THANKS!) she figured out how to put the picture on the background, since I'm a moron! I seriously spent HOURS trying to figure it out, and I'm sure she had it done in 45 minutes! ANYWAYS, YES! We're going to see Jason Mraz, 5TH ROW!!!!!!! YEAH, BABY! I'm so excited! I'm still trying to win front row/backstage passes on the radio, but now we have a back-up plan! And 5th row?! OH MY GOSH! I'm sure I'll have some kind of poster and be yelling lots of 'I LOVE YOU's. hahaha... Poor Tyler, I'm sure I'll embarrass him many times, but I don't even care! JASON MRAZ!

I've had so much other stuff happen that I'd love to blog about, but no time. If you really wanna know, just call me. Otherwise, it doesn't matter: I'll have new stuff to blog about later anyways! Haha... Congrats Tyler, and thanks again Shanna!

Modeling Material???

So everyone tells me how cute Alexis is. Well, DUH? So I entered her in a contest through Parents magazine. The theme was 'discovery' and the pictures needed to be related to said child discovering something new. Anyways, I posted 6 pictures, and am now just PRAYING she makes it into the top 5! What are my chances? Probably not good. As of today, there are 18,964 contestants! Although, some of those kids are kinda scary. Yes, I know I'm going to hell. It's okay, Tyler'll be there with me. He was saying, "YIKES!" as much as me! So, most of you have said at one point that Alexis is cute. If you actually believe it, then do me a favor and click here and vote for Alexis. PLEASE! Yes, it would be cool to have her picture on the cover of a magazine, but mostly? I just want the trip to NEW YORK!!! C'mon Alexis, make mommy proud.

tone deaf

That's Cameron. But I love that he doesn't realize it! I hope that he never realizes it, because it might stop him from singing. The kid loves to sing. The problem is that he sings the same song over and over and over and over and over X 50 more overs. Let me clarify: he'll sing one song about 20 times in a row, then switch to another song which he sings another 20 times in a row, and so forth. Today I think he's sung, 'Called to Serve' about 50 times (NO EXAGGERATION), 'When Jesus Christ was baptized' about 20, and 'Popcorn popping' about 3. The kid is amazing at memorization. That is about the only good characteristic he inherited from me. I should say, I used to be good at memorization. Not sure if I am anymore. That's besides the point. The point is, I can't WAIT for the primary program in 5 weeks because Cameron is so ready! Besides one of the hymns, he knows every word of every verse of every song! I'm sooo sad I can't watch him sing (since I will be stuck at the piano, playing for the program!).

Other than primary songs, he also loves his Halloween CD and his Wiggleworms CD. Other honorable mentions are (are you ready for this?) Jason Mraz, and McFly. HAHAHAHA... He can tell which songs are sung by each artist. We'll be driving and he'll ask, "Can we listen to 'Sorry's not good enough'?" He knows some of the words to "Sorry's not good enough", "It's all about you", and "Sleep all day". In the song "Sorry's not good enough", McFly sings, 'Don't go changing, don't go changing....' and they sing it about 8 times in a row, building a crescendo on each phrase. We'll hear him start singing, 'don't go change it, Don't go change it, DON'T GO CHANGE IT!!' Anyways, I just love that he enjoys music. Especially stuff I like!

Okay, I couldn't help it: just see for yourself!

"Now, Harry...

you must know all about Muggles. Tell me, what exactly is the function of a rubber duck?"

As I was giving Alexis a bath this morning, I was looking at her yellow rubber ducky floating in the water and thought of that quote. I just love it! It makes me laugh so hard every time! Anyways, that's all! (BTW, anyone seen Stardust? I think he's the funniest part of that entire movie!)

And Mother of the year award goes to...

Me. Of course. What a mommy day I had yesterday! It sucked. It was Cameron's first day of preschool but it doesn't start until 12:45. So it still feels like we have the whole day before I even get a break from him! Then, Alexis doesn't take an afternoon nap, so she was awake the WHOLE time Cameron was at school! "But that means you got to have quality time with your second child?" Yeah, I don't care. I just want a BREAK! That's one of the biggest reasons I wanted Cameron IN preschool! Anyways, my freakin' allergies have been driving me NUTS! See, I've never had allergies in my entire life. Never. EVER. So why this year? Who knows. The doc. said they are particularly bad this year. Yeah, no kidding? My face is RAW from constantly wiping and blowing my nose & wiping my eyes. My eyes are itchy all the time, they are always red and puffy. UGH! I'm whining. But it's my blog and I can do whatever I want!

And as usual, Alexis eats like crap. It's not unusual to have to give her 6-8 different food choices before she'll decide that it's worthy of her energy to shove into her mouth. I'm sooooooo tired of it. And it's not like I can say, 'If you don't eat this, then nothing else' (which believe me, I'm tempted to do) But she's only a year! I can't bargain with her. Instead I end up yelling at her and taking her out of her high chair because I can't handle it anymore. As soon as I do take her out, she's signing 'FOOD'. And then I scream. Like a little kid that didn't get her way. (see Shanna? I told you you're not the only one)

Blah. Then I decided to make 'House Special' Thai food. I got the recipe from Kyla and was told it was to die for! I spent A LOT of time on the meal. I cut up all fresh veggies, cooked the chicken, made the sauce from scratch, etc. (All the while trying to decide what the princess will eat) So how was the dinner? It was terrible. It probably didn't help that I read wrong and used 1 tsp. of curry paste instead of 1TBSP. Never again will I go off a recipe that only uses t or T. Next time I'll know to write in tsp. or TBSP. UGH! I just felt like the BIGGEST failure at EVERYTHING! I hate those days and I'm just so pleasant to be around, I'm sure. (sarcasm)

Luckily, I did have something to look forward to. Something I normally wouldn't look forward to. Book club. I've never attended a book club discussion before. Why could'nt I miss it this time? Because we were discussing 'Breaking Dawn'. No way I'm missing that! It was actually really fun! I drove my friend Tammy, so I'd at least ahve a friend to sit by who could protect me from any flying objects that might come my way after I piss everyone off with my opinions about the book. Surprisingly, people seemed (overall) to understand most of my frustrations with the book. There were some really good points made that explained some of my irritations with the book. I'll be anxious to re-read it, but not for a while. Anyways, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed myself and how much I voiced. I was hesitant to say anything bad about the book, but part of me wanted to be controversial. I know you all have a hard time believing that. Thanks to Melody, I was able to wear my 'Team Jacob' shirt! Hahaha... I got a kick out of it. I know no-one else cared, but I was so proud to be sporting it! We left around 10:30 or so and I was NOT ready to go back home yet. I've been home way too much and just wanted to be anywhere but here. So Tammy and I drove to Smith's and bought chocolate! Haha... It was so fun to blast the music, talk, laugh, and forget (even if just for a short time) that I am a mother. I got home and just sighed to myself. "Wow! I realllllly needed that!" I was prepared to get a great night's sleep and wake up as happy as I fell asleep. Well, that would've been nice, right? Both kids slept awful! I mean screaming, crying, more screaming, whining, whining and more screaming. I could not get Alexis to stay asleep once I'd put her back in her crib and finally gave up, just to bring her in bed with us. I swore, multiple times, as I got kicked in the face, jaw, head, shoulder, etc. Anyways, today is a new day, and I will try my best not to throw a tantrum. It's not looking good so far though. And it's only 9:50 am?!
