The joys of stress

I'm always fascinated with how stress manifests itself in people. For me, well, the list is pretty long. BUT I didn't realize how stressed I must be (subconsciously) until I developed a canker sore. A big one. A REALLY REALLY BIG ONE. It's at the bottom of my gums, right in the crease of my mouth and gums. Make sense? A few inches above my left jaw bone. It is about 1/2 inch long. And (according to the dentist) DEEP. So deep, in fact, that the pain is radiating into my jaw bone. And it hurts to even brush the skin over my jaw. Pathetic! Here's hoping this Thanksgiving trip is stress-free and I can lose my canker sore before it swallows me whole.

I HOPE that canker goes AWAY!!!
My sick and demented husband SWEARS by putting salt on cankers to make them go away. He's done it. He's insane. You couldn't pay me to do it...but if it works...

I hear you, I have had those. Did your doc. give you the special mouth wash? Also there is one you can swollow that makes it go away fast. Another thing that may sound weird is Benadryl, it shrinks it. So if it does not make you too sleepy try that.

Holy smokes. That's a big sore :( When you guys leaving? I tried putting that piece of sheetrock in my car to bring over, but it was too big.

I HATE canker soars. I usually rinse my mouth with mouthwash, like Listerine... burns like *beep* but makes it go away faster. OR, I rinse it with salt water (like when you gargle for a soar throat) and that helps too. HURTS, but helps.

What Shanna's Man says is just... OUCH. Yeah.

Happy Turkey Day!
