Haven't we already done this?

Phase 2 of letting Alexis cry herself to sleep. I mean, cry herself back to sleep. She goes to sleep fine. It's about 3 hrs. after she's asleep that she wakes up screaming. And when I say screaming? I'm not exaggerating. And I don't mean like a scream or two in between the crying. Blood curdling screams! And. She. Won't. STOP! This girl is the most persistant human I've ever encountered! I'm sure one day it will be a good quality to have, but for now it's just a pain in the BUTT! Anyways, she had her 15 mo. check up today and I explained to her doctor. She told me to still have her 'cry it out'. So here I am. And there she is. In her crib. Crying. Luckily not screaming this time. And it's been 30 minutes. And there's no sign of stopping.

UPDATE: As SOON as I published this, she starts with the screaming. Cursed? Sometimes you gotta wonder...

Ohhhh I soooo feel for you. I'll tell you this - when Sierra was little she was a crier - I know you remember me telling you that. I usually let her cry it out too because frankly I'd kill her otherwise. Just go with your gut. If it's telling you to go in and love on her, just do it. She's only a baby for so long and then they're over it and you'll be there regretting letting your little one cry it out. If, on the other hand your gut says let her cry it out...then let her cry it out ;)
You'll know what to do and if it means going in and getting her, it's not the end of the world - she'll get older and be just as well behaved as Cameron because you're a good mom!

I recently started having Isabella cry it out, too...ugh! It's so hard. Usually she goes right to sleep....but she still wakes up in the middle of the night crying.

I hope it gets better for you! You'll have to keep us posted on how it's going :)

PS--thank you for stopping by my blog! You are now added to my reader :)

She's not teething or maybe having growing pains? Whenever Sophie starts waking up in the middle of the night, I assume something else is going on. Try Tylenol tonight and see if she sleeps through. Sad :(

Oh that does not sound like fun. I'm sorry you have to deal with a screaming child. Good luck with that. :-)

Oh and yes we LOVE killer bunnies. We play it all the time. It sure makes for some fun nights. We miss playing games with you guys too. One day we'll be able to stay up late and play games again. :-)

Thanks for "visiting" my blog! My kids are four and a half and twenty months. Sounds like they are close in age to your two cuties! My little girl Addison hasn't had much hair either. She got the most in the back first and now it is filling in on top. I can't really "decorate" her hair much either! Fun blog and nice to meet you!
